Wallquest

The Lafoy family from Lyon, France, has a longstanding involvement in the wallpaper industry dating back to its early years. In 1938, Henry Lafoy established Consortium du Papier Peint, a wallpaper company that played a pivotal role in advancing the field. Their most notable contribution was the development of fully permanent printing, revolutionising the wallpaper industry. Subsequently, the company's name was changed to Inaltera S.A, emphasising the notion of durability and unchangeability.

Wallquest Quality

In 1976, Inaltera S.A. established a subsidiary named Inaltera Wallcoverings Inc. in New York City. This branch specialised in importing high-quality and prestigious wallpapers from France. The company experienced significant growth, as its avant-garde style and exceptional products gained international acclaim. Inaltera wallpapers became synonymous with quality and were sought after for prominent interior design projects, including prestigious locations such as the White House and by renowned celebrities around the world.

Wallquest Wallpaper

In 1985, a significant turning point occurred for the brand when the American management acquired the company from its French parent company and rebranded it as Wallquest Inc. Since then, Wallquest has emerged as one of the most esteemed names in the wallpaper industry. Renowned for their dedication to design, product innovation, and exceptional printing techniques, they maintain a strong connection to the traditional methods of designing and manufacturing wallpapers. The Wallquest brand stands as a testament to their commitment to excellence and their continued influence in the industry.

Wallquest Environmental Commitments

Wallquest is committed to adopting an environmentally friendly approach throughout its wallpaper production. Their wallpaper collections are printed on paper sourced from well-managed forests or recycled materials, using only water-based inks. During the production process, no excess ink or wastewater is released into the public water system. To ensure responsible waste management, any remaining water and ink are meticulously filtered by a third-party company before being returned to the environment. By prioritising sustainability, Wallquest aims to minimise its ecological footprint and contribute to a greener future.
